Project Manager, Building Systems
LOCATION: Tempe, Santa Barbara, or Newport Beach
Role Description
The Building Systems Project Manager oversees the coordination and integration of various building systems, including security, HVAC building controls, voice, data, telecom, interconnect, door locks, internet, Wi-Fi, and property management systems. Daily tasks include coordinating with clients, subcontractors, and team members, ensuring project timelines and costs are met. This role demands exceptional analytical and communication skills to address project issues and ensure successful project delivery and requires a strategic thinker with a strong technical background and excellent leadership skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Management: Lead and manage projects from inception to completion, ensuring all systems are implemented effectively and within budget.
- System Integration: Coordinate and integrate security, HVAC building controls, voice, data, telecom, interconnect, door locks, internet, Wi-Fi, and property management systems to ensure seamless operation.
- Technical Expertise: Provide technical guidance and support for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of building systems.
- Vendor Management: Collaborate with vendors and contractors to procure and implement the latest technology solutions.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor a team of technicians and engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
- Compliance: Ensure all systems comply with relevant regulations and standards.
- Reporting: Prepare and present reports on system performance, project progress, and budget status to senior management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in building systems technology or a similar role.
- Proven track record of successful project management and system integration.
- Strong technical knowledge of security, HVAC, telecom, and data systems.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
